Join us for a relaxed 1.5-hour drop-in session where families with children aged 1 to 11 can explore our studio space, complete with craft table, process art play and big, joyful painting! WHAT HAPPENS AT ARTSTERS OPEN STUDIO? Open Studio is a relaxed, process-led art session where children aged 1 to 11 years can explore, experiment, and create at their own pace using a range of exciting resources. The studio is set up with an open-ended craft table alongside a range of mark-making stations, as well as our signature painting wall and easels. There’s no set outcome or finished product - just time and space for families to engage in curiosity, play, and creative discovery in our welcoming studio environment. Drop in anytime during your 1.5-hour booking! WHO CAN COME? We welcome children aged 1 - 11 years old, with ONE adult per booking. This session is also perfect for parents and carers who are Home Educating; feel free to ask us any questions :) WHERE DOES IT TAKE PLACE? This session is held at our Artsters studio space in UNIT L at the Linwood Centre on Linwood Lane, LE2 6QJ. There is a large free car park at the venue, and ample street parking too. Press the buzzer to enter the Linwood Centre and come up the stairs to the first floor, or there is an accessible lift for use if needed. Follow the Artsters signs and join us in UNIT L. For the comfort of everyone and to maximize space in the room for play, we kindly ask that pushchairs be left in your car if possible, or outside the room in the hallway. If you need assistance or have any concerns, please let us know - we're happy to help! WHAT SHOULD I BRING? Paint can be messy, and you might find that your child prefers to explore it with more than a paintbrush! It's our aim to give your child the opportunity to play with art however they wish, but it does mean that paint can make its way onto clothes, so old clothes for everyone are a must. You can also add an Artsters T-shirt to your order, or purchase one from us on the day. Please bring an old towel, wipes and anything else you need to clean up. There will be cleaning stations provided at the end of the session, and we will let you know when it's time to start washing up. We look forward to seeing you at the Artsters Studio :)
